Ensuring Login Success
Since launching Instant Login, Clever has helped 8 million students easily access their learning applications. While 98% of login attempts via Clever are successful, we’ve heard that troubleshooting the small number of logins that fail can be painful. To ensure that students can access their applications when they need them, we’ve come up with a tool that makes resolving login issues simple and fast.
There are three main components to this troubleshooting tool.
- First, Clever makes it easy for teachers to report student login issues, giving teachers an instant solution whenever possible.
- Secondly, Clever automatically runs diagnostics on all reported issues to pinpoint the most likely cause.
- Finally, Clever routes issues directly to the person who can solve them, complete with all the information needed to find a solution.

What's the Problem?
Student can't log into Clever
If the student is having trouble logging into the Clever Portal, teachers can select this option to generate a one-time login code. Once the teacher generates the login code, follow the instructions in this article to gain instant access - How do I help my student log into Clever?
Student is missing an application
If a student is missing from an application, or is not listed in the teacher's roster, select this option. Follow the prompts to select the affected student and application. Your issue will either be reported to your district support contact or Clever Support, whomever is best equipped to resolve the issue.
Student can't log into an application
If a student is able to successfully log into the Clever Portal but receives an error after clicking on a application icon. Follow the prompts to select the affected student and application. Your issue will be directed to Clever Support and we will follow up with you via email within four business hours.
