District Detail View
By clicking on the name of a district from the Clever dashboard main page, you'll see a few key details about that district.
This article explains what information you'll see in the District Info view.
1. Sync Status
The icon indicates the status of the district's sync. For details on possible sync statuses, please see: District Sync Statuses.
2. Sharing type
This indicates how a district has scoped their data for your application. Any permissions updates must be made by a district administrator. Possible descriptions include:
- Sharing no data
- Sharing all data
- Sharing selected schools
- Sharing selected sections
- Sharing data by rules
3. District ID
The ID generated by Clever that is unique to this district.
4. SIS Type
The sync type indicates how the district syncs data to Clever. The name of the district's SIS listed here (e.g. PowerSchool, InfiniteCampus, etc) means Clever manages the district's sync from the SIS. 'SFTP' means the district pushes their data to Clever via SFTP.
5. Contact Info
The contact info listed pertains to the owner of the district's Clever account. Click on the name for more detailed contact information.
6. Portal URL
This is the URL that students, teachers, and/or school administrators should navigate to in order to log into Clever via Instant Login.
7. Support Contact
This is the support contact at the district for users who are having trouble logging into Clever via Instant Login.
Browsing District Data
In order to view district data, click on Browse under Data in the left-hand sidebar:
Select the user or data type that you are searching for, and click Add Filter to narrow down your results.
Click on each record to view more information.
You can only view data that has been shared with your application. There are two potential reasons that district data is missing from your dashboard:
1. The district has not shared the data with your application. Check the Sharing Rules to make sure that the data sharing rules are set up correctly.
2. The district's data has not made it from their SIS into Clever. You can send districts these SIS-specific articles for troubleshooting steps. Be sure to ask the district to check whether they can see the missing data in their own Data Browser!
If data is incorrect in Clever, then we might be pulling from the wrong SIS field. For most Auto Syncs, Clever can customize the fields that we pull data from. Ask the district for the exact name of the field that Clever should pull the data from, and feel free to reach out to Clever support so that we can set that up!
