Using recommended sharing settings
Often times the application know which data they need shared with them--whether that's sharing all of your elementary schools, the entire district, all math and science classes, all 9th and 10th grade students or anything in between.
If an application knows what data they want shared, they may recommend it to you when you navigate to the application's Data Sharing tab for the first time after you add the application.
1. If the application has a recommendation for sharing, the settings will be pre-populated in the Data Sharing tab:
2. If these settings look correct to you then you can click "Preview Recommended Rules" to see what data of yours will be shared by this recommendation.
3. If the settings share the correct students, teachers, and sections, then you can click "Save Sharing Rules" and you'll be all set!
Choosing your own sharing permissions
If the settings do not look correct you can navigate back to the "Data Sharing" tab and then click "Choose a different Sharing Type." This will bring you to a page where you can choose your sharing method. From this page you're able to set up whatever sharing method you prefer:
