If a student is having trouble logging into Clever, their teacher can help them to log in by generating a temporary backup code.
How are backup codes generated?
Backup codes are generated and used with the following steps:
1. Teachers log into their Clever account and click 'Help a Student' on the right-hand side:
2. Teachers choose the student they wish to help from the dropdown menu:
3. Teachers will then see a backup code to give to the student. Each backup code is unique to the student.
4. After the student logs in to their Clever account, the teacher should reach out to the District Administrator or technology help desk in order to find a long-term solution for the student's login issue.
