What is Clever?
Clever is a secure pipeline between your district's data and the learning applications that you and your students use. We help your district's IT office provide applications with all the information they need to be seamlessly set up for your school to use.
Clever single sign-on (SSO) allows users to log into applications with a single set of credentials, configured at the district level. With the ease of only one username and password, Clever can help teachers reclaim valuable class time. Students and teachers can open their devices, sign into the Clever Portal, and click on their connected applications to automatically access the online learning program!
Who can sign up for Clever?
We recommend creating one Clever account for your school district that’s managed at the district level. In order to create and administer a Clever account, you need administrative access to your SIS and authority to sign Clever’s Terms of Service.
Examples of individuals with sufficient access to manage a Clever account include Chief Technology Officers, SIS/Database Managers, and other district IT Administrators. School administrators, such as Principals, typically have insufficient access to the Student Information System needed to set up a Clever account, so we recommend reaching out to a colleague at the district level to create your district’s Clever account.
How can I access my district's Clever account?
If you’d like access to Clever as a school admin, we encourage you to reach out to your district’s tech department. The Clever account owner must upload your school admin record to the Clever dashboard. If they need guidance in creating your school admin account, feel free to pass on this article.
