4. How do I reach out to my student's district support contact?
To log your student into the Clever Portal, go to the Clever login page for your student's district. If your student's teacher did not provide a Clever login page for the district, you can go to clever.com/login and look for your student's school. If you cannot find your school on this page, please ask your student's teacher where they should go to log into Clever.
Is your student still having trouble logging into the Clever Portal? Read on for steps on how to troubleshoot and who to contact for help!
Logging into Clever with Clever Passwords
If your student is using the 'Log in with Clever' button and sees the error ('Invalid username or password'), this means that the username and/or password your student has entered are not correct for their Clever account.
Your student can click the 'Get help signing in!' link to reset their password using the email linked to their Clever account.
Please note: not all districts allow students to reset their own password. If you do not see the option to reset your student's password, or if this doesn't resolve the issue, please reach out to your student's classroom teacher or school administrator for help with their Clever username and password.
Logging into Clever with Google
If your student is using the 'Log in with Google' button, they will be redirected to sign into the Google email linked to their Clever account (the student's school email, not a personal email).
If they see the error message ('Wrong password. Try again or click Forgot password to reset it'), this means that the password your student entered for their Google email is incorrect. They will need to enter the correct password for their Google account, or use the 'Forgot password?' link to reset the password for the Google account.
Please note: not all districts allow students to reset their own password. If you do not see the option to reset your student's password, or if this doesn't resolve the issue, please reach out to your student's classroom teacher or school administrator for help with their Google password.
If your student is seeing the following error message ('Uh oh! We were not able to authenticate using Google email: xxxx@example.com'), this means that the Google email they signed into is not the email that is linked to their Clever account. Please make sure you are using their school Google email account.
To resolve this issue, please ask your student's teacher or principal to let you know the correct school email that your student should use to log into Clever.
Logging into Clever with ADFS
If your student is using the 'Log in with Active Directory' button, they will be redirected to sign into your district's organizational account through Active Directory Federation Services. The username and password for ADFS are managed by your student's district administration.
How do I reach out to my student's district support contact?
You can find your student's district support contact information by clicking the 'Get help signing in!' link on the Clever login screen. From here, you should see an email or phone number where you can reach the support contact for your student's district.
