This article contains the following:
1. Add applications on the Recommend list
2. Add applications on the Block list
3. Turning off Library data sharing
The Clever Library allows teachers to add applications to their Clever Teacher page in addition to traditional links. When adding a Clever-partnered app, teachers will have the opportunity to authorize an SSO connection via Clever, similar to how they would authorize an SSO connection via “Log in with Google” or “Log in with Microsoft 365”.
When a teacher adopts a Library application with SSO, Clever shares only the absolute minimum information: student first name, last initial, grade level, and course enrollment.
Clever does not share any sensitive information with Library applications, including student number, SIS ID, email, state ID, school/district information, or any demographic information about the student.
Add applications on the Recommended list
District administrators can recommend specific Library resources to their teachers at the district on your Library Settings located on your Clever Dashboard.
Add applications on the block list
If there are specific applications that you do not want data to be shared via the Library, you can add them to a block list to prevent teachers from adding these resources to their Clever Portal.
Turning off Library data sharing
If your district would like to disable all Library data sharing, you can do so by disabling "Allow teachers to add SSO resources" on this page: Portal > Library Settings > Settings. You will then be prompted to choose the privacy option that works best for your district. The options are as follows:
- No restrictions: Teachers are able to discover resources in the Library and on the web and add them to their Teacher Pages with SSO with a click.
- Limited integration: Teachers are no longer able to add applications with rostering and single sign-on. They are able to discover new resources in the Library and add them to their Teacher Page as static links.
- Limited discovery: The Library is disabled, so teachers can no longer discover new applications in Clever. When teachers find an application on their own that supports "Sign Up with Clever", they can add it to their Teacher Page with rostering and single sign-on.
- Fully disabled: Teachers are no longer able to discover applications in the Library or use "Sign Up with Clever". They may still manage static links on their Teacher Page.
