The Clever Library offers a safer way for teachers to adopt digital resources, while giving district administrators full visibility into which programs their teachers are adopting. Starting in Spring 2019, teachers in select districts will be able to purchase individual upgrades of partnered applications.
When a teacher visits an application's page in the Library, they will see a list of features, as well as the price for an individual upgrade or school license:
If a teacher decides that they would like the premium version, they can easily purchase it using a credit card. Payments are handled securely by Stripe. In the future, we will add additional payment options, such as DonorsChoose and ClassWallet:
When a purchase is made, the teacher is upgraded to the premium version, which they and their students can continue to access via Clever. All applications are covered by the Clever Universal Data Sharing Agreement, and district administrators are notified upon each purchase for better insights into what teachers are buying.
District administrators can control this setting via the Library Settings page in their account dashboard, where they can also recommend or block particular applications:
