The recent Clever update for the iPad app, launches the login in Safari. This opens 3 tabs in the browser to get the student to their dashboard. When the student is done using the program they exit the program using the "X" or log out button in the program. Then the student has to press the "Home" button on the iPad to get out of the program, (ie Lexia, Istation, Math Facts, etc...) Now the student has to know to launch Safari, close the Clever Loading tab, click the Clever Portal tab to select a different activity or log out of their Clever Dashboard. There may also be a tab open that redirected them to their program, which also has to be closed. The biggest concern and frustration is these are 5 and 6 year old students using the iPads during a center rotation of about 10-20 minutes. Relying on them to preform all of these steps in this setting is not ideal or desirable. It seems to take a good bit of time to go back to launch an additional app and close tabs, after using the iPad or an adult to be sure at the end of the day all students were logged out of a device which is used by multiple students.
