This error may occur if you've updated the password for the Student Information System account shared with Clever. Some SIS accounts require users to set a new password after an administrator resets their password, and some require passwords to be changed periodically.
If your sync is experiencing this error, you'll receive an email and see this sync status on your Clever Dashboard:
How to fix this error:
- Log into your SIS with the current username and password you've shared with Clever. You can see the username you’ve shared with Clever on your Sync Settings page.
- When prompted by your SIS, create a new password for the account.
- Update your Sync Settings page with this new password. For help updating the password, see this help article.
Clever will try to sync at the next scheduled time, so you should see your sync status update within a few hours.
