Customizing the Clever Portal
When your district users log in to your district's unique single sign-on (SSO) Clever Portal URL (format: https://clever.com/in/shortname), they are taken to their Clever Portal. From their Portal, they can click on their associated application icons to access their online learning applications. Depending on your district setup, their applications (apps) may include Clever-integrated district-wide apps, external links to non-integrated apps, apps added by teachers and Saved Passwords apps.
With Saved Passwords applications, you can add apps that are not currently integrated with Clever to your district Portal providing your users with a seamless single-sign on experience! Check out this article to learn more.
As a Clever Admin, you can access your Clever Portal by logging into your district dashboard and clicking 'Portal' in the navigation banner at the top of the page. You can modify your district’s Clever Portal by clicking the Customize Portal button in the top right corner:
Moving Icons
- Select the 'Customize Portal' option.
- Drag and drop icons to the preferred category. You can drop icons into the preferred category in the sidebar or on the same page.
- Please note: If you experience issues dragging and dropping the app icons, please try adjusting your browser zoom settings to a smaller size and try again!
- Select ‘Publish Changes’ on the top right after you are finished.
Editing Categories
- Select the ‘Customize Portal’ option on the top right.
- Click on the subtitle you wish to edit and directly change the text.
- You can add a category by clicking ‘Add a new category’ in the sidebar on the top left side of the page.
- You can delete a category by hitting ‘Remove Category’ next to the category you want to remove.
- Select ‘Publish Changes’ after you are finished!
Adding Clever Applications
- Select the 'Customize Portal' option.
- Click ‘Add Link’ next to the category under which you want the new link to appear.
- If it is a Clever-supported application, search by the name.
- Click the desired application to add the link.
- Select ‘Save Changes’ after you are finished.
Adding a Custom External Link
- Select the 'Customize Portal' option.
- Click ‘Add Link’ next to the category under which you want the new link to appear.
- Select the last option in the menu that states 'Create a custom link'.
- Select an icon or upload a custom icon (To upload your own icon, select 'Upload' in order to search for the appropriate image from your desktop. Images must be in the .png file format, and less than 2MB. Optimal icon size should be 200x200)
- Fill out the appropriate fields.
- Select which user types, grades, and schools you would like to have access to the custom link.
- Select ‘Add Link’.
- Select ‘Publish Changes’ on the top right after you are finished.
